Comrades, Families and Friends:

Welcome to Roanoke and the 84th National Reunion of the 80th Division Veterans Association. 84 years! - it started before most of us were born. Each year a Senior Vice Commander worked diligently to plan and arrange a fun filled and satisfying convention. Again this year Archer Futch has a great program for all of us. I urge you not to miss any of the activities.

Thank you for the honor you have bestowed on me, to be your National Commander. It has been a humbling and gratifying experience to represent each one of you.

As our ranks become smaller each year, let us make a special effort to attend future Reunions. As Clarence Brockman so ably stated last year: "Let us keep the 80th moving forward for many years to come!"

God willing, we will meet again in Pittsburgh, PA at the 2004 Reunion. Have a safe trip home!
