23 NOV 44: Faulquemont, France (U.S. Army)
Three American Infantrymen of 3rd Bn, 2nd Platoon, Co A,
319th Inf Regt, 80th Inf Div, eat K-rations on Thanksgiving Day in dougout. They will be relieved later and will have Thanksgiving dinner in the evening with their unit. The soldiers are (left to right) Sgt Albert E. Burns (Muncie, Ind); Pfc John D. Smith (Brookville, Pa),
and Pvt Robert H. Seymour, (Newark, N.Y.).

     
   


25 NOV 44: St. Avold, France (U.S. Army)
German prisoners, captured in a Maginot Fort near St. Avold, are marched back behind the lines by members of the
318th Inf Regt, 80th Inf Division.

     
   

8 FEB 45 (U.S. Army)
A chemical smoke generator unit lays down a heavy smoke screen to cover the 319th Regt, 80th Div's crossing of Our River, from Wallendorf, Luxembourg into Germany. The crossing was made under heavy enemy artillery fire.
