HELP WANTED

My father, Clarence Wesley Elwood, Jr., of the North Side of Pittsburgh, was a member of the 80th Rcn Trp, 80th Division in WWII. He was wounded on the 26th of November 1944 somewhere in Germany I believe.

I would like to know if anyone remembers him so I might talk with them. He passed away in March of 1977. 1 am also interested in finding out exactly where he was when wounded.

Thank you so much. Dorothy Elwood

Bernd Schmidt is again requesting any information you may have on Buchenwald. Forward it to the Editor who will see that he gets it. Anyone of the 1st or 2nd Battalion 319th who was in Weimar on 12 April 1945 who can furnish any detail of their activities on that day will be welcome. Was it Col. Bandy or Col. Costello who accepted the surrender of Weimar?
